A fundraiser has been launched to help a family pet after an accident.

Windsor local Gina Lewington launched the fundraiser 'Help Coco heal from his accident' on Thursday, April 11.

In the fundraiser, Gina explains how a "terrible accident" has left Coco needing eye surgery.

She wrote: "Our beloved little Chihuahua, Coco, has had a terrible accident.

"His eye has swollen beyond repair, and the only option is to remove it.

"At seven years old, Coco is not just a pet but a cherished member of our family, and we're devastated to see him in pain."

The fundraiser was launched in a bid to raise £4,000 to cover vet bills to remove Coco's eye.

Gina added: "The procedure is essential for his comfort and well-being.

"While it won't save his sight, it will alleviate his pain and prevent further complications."

Speaking about what Coco means to the Lewington family, Gina added: "Coco has brought so much joy and love into our lives, and we're determined to do everything we can to ensure he receives the care he needs.

"Any contribution, no matter how small, will make a huge difference in Coco's journey to recovery.

"Please consider donating and sharing our GoFundMe page to help us reach our goal and give Coco the chance to enjoy a happy and healthy life once again.

"Thank you from the bottom of our hearts for your kindness and support during this difficult time."

As of April 17, the fundraiser has raised £80 with the help of five people.
