The Mayor of Slough has been seen out in the community supporting valuable organisations that strive to keep the town thriving.
One such occasion was when Councillor Amjad Abbasi visited Slough's Anti-Litter society to show his support for the valuable work that they do.
His attendance also marked the first anniversary of Slough's Repair Cafe.
Earlier this year, both organisations held an indoor market where locals could buy goods for as little as £1 in an attempt to ease the financial burden after Christmas.
Founder of Slough Anti-litter Society Tirza Meinema said: "With the cost of living crisis, people might not have a lot of money to go shopping, these can really be solutions for people - having something repaired or buying something second hand."
Last year, over 400 people swung by the market and cafe, driving traction to Tirza's goal of spreading the word about reducing landfill and littering in Slough.
