A barber in a busy road in Slough could be converted into a café or restaurant.

The recently submitted plan relates to a barber shop in a row of shops which contains a mix of beauticians, two pizza delivery places and a convenience store.

Elsewhere, a plan for an extension that adds a bedroom to a house in Slough has been approved, as has a project to build four new homes in a Berkshire village.

A barber shop in a busy row of shops and eateries could be converted into a café or restaurant.

The address, 127 Bath Road, has been used as a gents hairdressers.

A plan has been submitted that would convert the shop into a café or restaurant with nine seats for diners.

The conversion of the property would require a kitchen extractor fan to be installed to its rear.

The owner of 46 Parsons Road in Slough has won permission to build a substantial extension to their home.

The project involves the removal of a wooden hobby room outbuilding so that a two-storey extension can be built.

The extension will provide a new kitchen area at ground level and bedroom on the first floor, increasing the number of bedrooms from two to three.

The plan was approved with conditions, with one being that materials used for the extension must match those of the existing house as much as possible.

A developer has won approval to knock down a house, a barn and equestrian buildings in Littlewick Green and replace them with four new homes.

The approved project relates to Barnstock Stables and Bungalow at Cherry Garden Lane in the village.

The plan was decided on by the Maidenhead Development Control Panel, which allowed the project which will result in three five-bedroom and one three-bedroom home being built once completed.

The approval is subject to financial contributions from the developer to the Council’s Carbon Offset Fund and an affordable housing contribution.

A plan for a new home at a farm on the outskirts of Maidenhead has been withdrawn.

A developer submitted a plan to build a two storey home with a roof at  Thrift Wood Farm which is located off Ockwells Road.

However, the application for the house was withdrawn on Monday, September 11.
