A couple have been surprised by a Michelin Star chef at the Thames Hospice.
Matt Seymour, 36, is currently in the care of Thames Hospice after being diagnosed with non-Hodgkin lymphoma.
Together with his wife Jess Seymour, 36, the local pair from Berkshire were surprised by the team at The Hind's Head who prepared, cooked and served a meal at the hospice.
It was always a dream of Matt's to enjoy a special meal with Jess - with the dream becoming reality on July 27.
Jess said: “The evening that Thames Hospice arranged for us created a once-in-a-lifetime experience that gave us both such a happy memory to hold on to during such a difficult time.
"Peter Gray and The Hind’s Head absolutely spoilt us with a night we will never forget and eternally grateful for.”
They enjoyed a meal of "mouthwatering" steak and triple-cooked chips.
The Hind’s Head Bray Executive Chef, Peter Gray, added: “This felt very close to home for us at The Hind’s Head and we were honoured to be able to help. It was a small gesture, one we hoped has helped to make a happy memory for this special couple.”
