Business in Windsor and Maidenhead that have been ‘going green’ have until Friday to shout about how they’ve been doing their bit for the environment.

The Green Progress Award, sponsored by Colnbrook based Grundon Waste Management, is one of the categories in the Thames Valley Business Awards 2016.

Last year, the award was won by Legoland in Windsor for managing to achieve zero waste to landfill and introducing a dedicated food waste collection service.

Grundon’s marketing and communications manager, Anthony Foxlee-Brown, said: “We know that many organisations - both large and small - have been working hard to improve their environmental credentials.

“This is a great opportunity to be recognised for their efforts and we hope as many companies as possible will enter.”

The judges will be looking for examples of recycling and waste initiatives - everything from sustainability projects to encouraging more staff to car share or use public transport.

The awards are free to enter and full details can be found on www.businessawards.co.uk

Entries must be in by Friday.
